Bio:
Michelle Copeland
Largely self-taught, I have been practicing several forms of
Glass Art since 1991.
The sole owner & artist of Thistle Glass, I create glass in
the following disciplines:
*Stained Glass, *Lampworking, *Slumped & Fused,
*Slumped & hand-painted, and occasionally *Blown Glass.

~~My designs have been shown at trade shows
such as “High Point” and successfully sold on the International market.
Two of my design lines can be seen at a large hotel/casino in Las Vegas, NV. and many of my designs reside in private collections throughout the U.S..
I brought my creative efforts home to offer you fair pricing and
excellent quality.
~~~My glass work has been featured in publications such as;
"Natural Home Magazine" & "Glass Patterns Quarterly", and
"Stained Glass News" most recently.
*I taught Stained Glass classes at a local Stained Glass store
as well as from my shop. (back in the day when space permitted)
**I have also instructed my family members
in the art of Glass Blowing & we have successfully overcome the challenges of blowing with a left-hander, me!
I am trained to blow with either hand and am
proud to say we feel well-choreographed despite our challenges.
***I was born in Alaska and now live in Cloverdale, Ca.
My Glass shop is a one-woman show except for glass blowing,
at which point the whole family gets involved.
I love what I do and enjoy sharing my work.
My Glass Journey is constantly inspired by
my husband Adam, and my daughters.
I was reading that the Glass Art Movement has
been deemed "the next impressionist era".....
Stay tuned for my next impression!
Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay!   ~Michelle
